So much to do, so little time

This week is going to be crazy. Insane. I will be surprised if I actually survive it, in fact.

Just a few of the things on my to-do list:

1. Finish the dang Halloween costumes. I am oh-so-close, but time is running out. Mainly, I have to throw together something for Joel to be the scarecrow, and it probably isn't going to be very true to Oz, but oh well.

2. Plan Bria's baptism. This includes rehearsing a musical number, taking photos, figuring out what desserts we'll make for afterwards, and when the heck I'm going to make them. And then actually making them. I am glad I will never have to plan a baptism for the day after Halloween again...it's kind of overwhelming.

3. Edit a million (okay, so it's just four) photoshoots. With my slow computer and my carpal tunnel. Sigh.

4. Get my house guest worthy, since lots of family will be in town for the baptism. Some of them will even be here for Halloween, which is the fun part of doing this at this time of year.

5. Still do all the normal teaching of lessons, rehearsing, carting kids places, etc., which is often enough to make me crazy all by itself.

6. Stay sane.

So, you can see I have absolutely no time for blogging until maybe Saturday night. This presents a dilemma, because I made a random commitment to myself to blog every day for the rest of the year. I could break it, because, let's face it, blogging is certainly not the most important thing in the world, much as I enjoy it. But I won't. I thought of something even better.

I looked in Google analytics to see what my most popular pages are for the last year, based on Google searches. And let me tell you, those Google searchers sure know how to find the fun posts. I am going to re-post the top four-one a day-for the rest of this week. Then, of course, I will post Halloween pictures on Saturday and Baptism pictures on Sunday. Problem solved.

Don't miss me too much, and enjoy a laugh or two at my expense these next few days!

Ok, just breathe and it will all be over before you know it. Just keep reminding yourself you are blessed that you have the family to keep you busy. Some wish they had children and Baptism's....stay positive and you'll get through it!

Can't wait to see pictures!! Have a blessed week!

How do you do do google analyitcs?
And good luck. Perhaps you're not me quite yet, I always have my costumes done a week early so I'm not freaking out the last week (oh, and because we always have to WEAR them a week early at C's halloween happening carnival).
Oh well, keep trying. ;)

Good luck with everying, Lara!! Just remember that the imporant part of the baptism is THE BAPTISM. Don't go crazy trying to do over the top treats if it means being so stressed out you can't enjoy the day. A bag of Peppridge Farms cookies dumped on a plate can be just as fabulous!

How do you use Google Analytics? I signed up for it, but all I get are graphs that don't make sense!

Step away from the computer! Do not make the comittment! I did that when I first started blogging, and it was stressful, and I realize my blog sucked because I just had to post something.

Take time for the things you really need to do. We'll still be here!

Shoot, you're better than me, girl. I haven't even STARTED the costumes. (But I bought the fabric already - that counts for something, riiiiight?!)

Just the fact that you know you have a busy day, you're ahead of the game. Now, just find time to breathe in between and you'll be great!

Seriously, when you have time, teach us how to do Google Analytics. I haven't figured it out either.

Good luck with the stress-inducing week! Is there something I can do?

Try sundaes, then all you have to do is set things up and everyone else will be in charge of making their own sundae. It was a hit at the last baptism I went to. Good luck with everything.

I love that you guys are doing a "theme" with your whole fam for Halloween! So cute! Oh, and if there is any dessert I can bring for after the baptism (we are coming to it) just let me know. I can do cookies, cake, whatever you need! I seriously want to help! Email me: mmalie@msn.com

Well, I was baptized ON Halloween. How's that for fun?

Baptisms were simpler there. You wore a dress, you sat through the program, you got baptized, you went home.

And then, in my case, you go trick-or-treating. LOL

Good luck. As someone else said, the important part is the ACTUAL baptism. I learned that lesson the hard way, 'cause I got the joy of miscarrying on Sara's baptism day.
